More thefts from shop

THIEVES have targeted the village shop again, stealing around £50 of e-cigarettes.

A pair of teenagers were seen on CCTV loitering in Loomes heading to the counter and then running from the store carrying a box, chased by a member of staff.

A similar incident happened in December when two young shoplifters grabbed £200-worth of e-cigarettes.

Owner Sathees Vethanayakampillai, who has reported the latest theft on August 19 to the police, said it was the third time it had happened and people had come forward with names for the suspects.

Anyone with information about the theft or the suspects is asked to call Norfolk Police on 101.

But the store’s cameras have helped resolve one theft where two female customers hid a bottle of wine as they paid for beer.

“When they came in the next time we showed them the video and they paid for the bottle,” he told the newsletter.
