Periwinkle Cottage - Dates & Rates
Until December this year a £100 deposit will secure your booking for a weekly stay or a short break. Short breaks run from Monday - Friday and Friday - Monday. Weekly stays run from Friday - Friday. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is at 10am.
Full Terms & Conditions
The deposit secures the dates for the guest and is non refundable.
The balance is due eight weeks before the arrival date. If the holiday is less than eight weeks away the full balance is required to secure the booking. If the guest fails to pay the balance on time we shall be entitled to treat the booking as cancelled by the guest.
If the guest cancels less than eight weeks before the start of the holiday we reserve the right to retain the initial deposit and the balance. However, we will attempt to re-book the dates and this may be at a lower, last minute rate. If we are successful in re-booking the holiday we will refund the equivalent of the price the new guest has paid, minus the original booking deposit. Guests are advised to take out holiday insurance to cover such eventualities.
Payment can be made by bank transfer, debit card or credit card.
With all bookings a damage deposit of £200 is payable with the balance and is usually returned, after inspection, via bank transfer or refunded to a debit/credit card the next working day after the guests’ departure.
We do not like asking for a damage deposit and we know that most guests are at pains to look after the cottage during their stay, but experience has told us that we need to have one in place.
Guests will be required to supply their full names, home address, email address and contact telephone number. We will also need to know how many adults, children and dogs will be staying. This replaces the old style booking form.
All bookings will be confirmed via email.
Periwinkle Cottage is advertised on several holiday letting websites and the available dates are live on the online calendars. For nearly every week we advertise we receive several inquiries and indications that people want to book, but often they come to nothing, so the only way we can judge whether dates are booked is when a payment is made. This is also the reason why we are unable to accept cheques.
