A RURAL RETREAT

Set in pretty countryside between Somerton and Winterton, the Annexe is ideally placed for a break at any time of the year. A very short drive to gorgeous sandy beaches and a seal colony, just 35 minutes to Norwich and nextdoor to the Norfolk Broads, it sleeps up to five. Dogs welcome.

The Annexe

THE Annexe is a single storey cottage in the grounds of Three Acres country B&B. surrounded by paddocks, with views towards Horsey Mere and the dunes at Somerton beach. It sleeps up to five people in three bedrooms – one with a kingsize bed, one twin and one single - and is equipped with a modern galley kitchen, a wet room, a conservatory and an enclosed garden with patio, outdoor seating and barbecue.

The property has WiFi and is self-catering. There is ample parking and up to three dogs are welcome at no extra charge. Annexe is self catering.

Somerton beach is around 30 minutes' walk and Winterton, with its beach, café, pub, shops and chippy, is five minutes in the car. The area is great for walking and cycling and is very popular with birdwatchers because it is one the best places to see rare breeds like the marsh harrier, tern and bittern. In winter hundreds of seals at nearby Horsey come ashore to have their pups, making a spectacular sight.

Somerton is on the edge of the Broads and hiring a dayboat from a nearby yard is a great way to enjoy this beautiful national park. Most welcome dogs.

Hundreds of grey seal pups are born on the beach at nearby Horsey each winter and a special viewing area is set up for visitors to take in the spectacular sight.
